Anita Hendrix - Master Handler

Working professionally as a trainer and consultant since 1998, I bring nearly three decades of complex field experience to all aspects of advanced obedience, including precision leash techniques, large pack management, and off-leash control. My expertise spans behavioral modification, pack theory, bite-work, protection training, and complex problem-solving. Additionally, I specialize in preparing ADA Service Dogs to pass the Public Access Test (PAT) while ensuring they meet strict Assistance Dogs International (ADI) compliance standards.
My philosophy stands firmly apart from the modern trends of pet training. While I may occasionally utilize food rewards for specific situations, I do not waste your time or your money relying primarily on treats or food drives that may be negligible. True behavior modification requires the time-tested ideologies passed down through generations of master trainers before me.
The recent social favoring of strictly treat-based reward systems was established to avoid the natural, physical reality of canine communication. Unfortunately, this hands-off approach bypasses hierarchy establishment and fails to resolve any behavior with a higher competing drive. This will leave dogs wholly unmastered and minimally improved.
Canine transformation requires clear physical communication, precise placements, and an abundance of verbal and physical praise to shift the hierarchy and balance the controlled stress that manipulating a free-willed being requires. My absolute commitment is to give you the exact leadership tools required to permanently resolve issues, establish mutual respect, and completely exceed your expectations.
